SLICKER, 80
LAKELAND - Thomas M. Slicker, 80, died on October 29, 2013 from heart failure.
Tom was born in Brookville, PA on June 23, 1933. He moved to St. Petersburg Beach with his parents, Jack and Gertrude Lyle Slicker in 1936. He led an idyllic life growing up on pristine St. Petersburg Beach in the 40s and 50s. He had a long career with Chevron that began in 1954 driving trucks, owning gas stations in Pinellas County, and a retail territory manager for 24 years. He moved to Lakeland in 1982 with his wife Yvonne. While in Lakeland, they owned several gas stations and an accounting firm specializing in service station, and convenience store accounting.
Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Yvonne, daughters, Frances Hall DeArman and Trish Hall Sedgwick (Tom) and 4 grandchildren, Morgan, Christian, Avery, and Madison.
