I met Jim on my first day of work as a Juvenile Court Counselor. Jim was the first law enforcement officer I had contact with and he went out of his way to help me do my job. I never forgot his kindness and generosity to help others. Peggy and Jim have always been a good fit. I have treasured my friendship with both of you. May Jim rest in peace and Peggy find peace during this very difficult time. Heaven has welcomed an angel and we have lost a true gem (Jim).

Jim Gibson was a man deeply embedded in his community. I first met Jim when I was working as a Child Protectve Services Lins Social Worker for Onslow County Department of Social Services. Jim was working as a Sheriff's Deputy and many times he assisted with the removal of at risk children from abusive homes which made my job out in the field much safer. I also served as a fellow board member with him at Onslow County DSS. Jim was a friend and he will be sorely missed by all who knew, loved and admired him.
