To the Severin family, I cannot express my sadness when I heard of Mr. Severin's passing. I first met Mr. Severin when I went to work for him, just as he was retiring from The Equitable. He was without a doubt one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known, seeming many times like a father and grandfather to me. Ashland seems much the sadder place without Mr. Severin to grace its streets.

Growing up and knowing the Severins I was always made to feel welcome and a part of the family.

Mr. Severin was a true gentleman, kind, funny amd someone you could always count on.

I'll miss running into him at the store and seeing that big smile of his and those bear hugs.

My thoughts and prayers are with you- Becky, Paul Jr. Padge, Nancy, Powell and Mary Katherine.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Severin family. It saddens me to hear of Pauls'passing.I lived in the Severin house during college and found him to be a great coach, friend, and teacher of life. He meant a lot to all of us and his influence played a major role in shaping our outlook on athletics as well as life itself. He inspired and touched us all and has left us with many fond thoughts and memories. God speed my friend.

Padge & Kim... I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My dad, who passed over in 1992, also had a long, very successful career with Equitable - all these years and we never knew that about each other! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers...

What a privilege it is to have known this man. When Paul asked "How are you doing?", and you began to answer, you found him looking intently into your eyes and listening to each word you said.
