Diane 'Di' Marie (Ohl) Mantz

Diane "Di" Marie (Ohl) Mantz, 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest at her home on Thursday Jan. 30, 2025.

Born on March 31, 1946, in Lehighton, she was a longtime widow of Donald F. Mantz, who she married on Nov. 21, 1964. Additionally, she was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Eva (Fink) Ohl of Lehighton, and, a sister, Dorothy Strain of Duncan, Oklahoma.

She is survived by sons, David B., husband of Judy, of Andreas, and Derek T. of Nags Head, N.C.; grandchildren, Nicholas, husband of Morgan Nelson, Emily, wife of Stephen Green, and Morgan; and a great-granddaughter Margaret, all who affectionately called her Granma.

A 1964 Lehighton High School graduate, Diane worked numerous jobs in the local garment industry for 30 years.

She was a member of Zion UCC, Lehighton, and drew great comfort from her faith.

Di enjoyed many activities, such as crocheting, yard saling with Kim, participating in football pools with Derek and Morgan, enjoying the outdoors, and kayaking with Sara.

She enjoyed the company of animals, especially her horses, Bubba and Sir B, and numerous dogs who gave her much love and companionship. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors.

Di was known for sharing meals, decorating porches, and helping her neighbors in many ways.

Diane will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have known her. Her family is comforted by knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
