I met Edie at Central Michigan and later in Indiana where she worked. We got together many times and shared many laughs. We played cards, went to movies, and shared stories. We exchanged Christmas cards for several years. We complained a lot anput the snow in the snowbelt ofvl Indiana; it was harsh. She visited me, and my husband at the time, in Mississppi. He was a classmate of Edie's master's psych program. Edie was a great source for what to read, but mostly she was a good person & a fun friend. I've missed her through the years when we lost contact. She did some amazing things & got through rough times. She often spoke so fondly of her Ohio family & I recall stopping there once. She loved them.& was especially excited to be an Aunt.

May God bless her & keep her. Please accept my deepest condolences. Rene Vandeven (formerly Gintner)

Edie and I worked together cleaning motel rooms during the summer, to earn money for college. We saw each other on campus at Ohio U. as well, but lost touch when she started at Central Michigan. I'm not surprised that her career was focused on helping other people and using her accumulated knowledge of human behavior. She was always a great listener, smart, funny and compassionate. Deepest sympathy to her family.

Edie and I shared a love of books. We would meet at Way Library, check out a stack, and go home to read. The next week, we'd do it again. She was a sweet person and wonderful friend. My favorite memory of her is that I had entered a radio contest to go see The Beatles in Detroit. Edie woke up from a nap and turned on the radio. They were saying that they were going to call me and the password was "Liverpool." Edie quickly called my mother and told her the password. When the radio station called, Mom said, "Liverpool! Liverpool." All this while I was swimming at the Perrysburg Pool! Thanks to Edie, I got to see The Beatles. My deepest condolences to Judy, John, and his family.

Edie was my very best friend growing up in Perrysburg Ohio. I remember playing making mud cakes with her when we were very young. And we stayed close all the way through high school. She was so smart. And just such a nice person. I remember spending the night at her house and hearing the Train go by behind where she lived on third Street. I will treasure my memories of Edie

Edie was a very close friend growing up in Perrysburg and during college at Ohio University. I have many very nice memories of our time spent together. She had a great sense of humor and liked to talk about ideas and books. My condolences to the family.
