Scotty and I worked together in the early days of WGTE-TV Channel 30, when the studio was at the University of Toledo, and later when it moved to the Board of Education Building on Manhattan Boulevard. Scotty was a thoughtful and thorough engineer and a good guy to be around. He smoked a pipe in those days, too--a good pipe. I'll miss him.

My friendship and association with Scott goes back to 1960 when I began my career in broadcasting while still in high school. Scott was then Chief Engineer at the station (WTDS-FM) where I received my basic fundamentals in radio broadcasting. We would later work together at WGTE-TV for many years sharing both good and trying times together. He was my mentor during the early years. For this I am eternally grateful and will long remember his teachings. My condolences are extended to the Roberson Family.

Scott was a fellow teacher at Whitmer. He had a most interesting career. He will surely be missed by family and friends.
