Shawn Case Obituary

CASE Shawn Lee Shawn Lee Case, age 60, of Napoleon, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2009. He was born March 26, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Ellis and Caroline (Waller) Case. He married Harla Shiflett on February 14, 1974 and she survives of Napoleon. Shawn was a supportive loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to feel the wind in his hair and the thunder of the pipes as he rode his Harley down the road. He worked at Johns Manville for 35 years before retiring for medical reasons. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1966. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Marie) Case and Jon Case, both of Napoleon; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Andrew Case; brother, Thomas (Shirley) Payne of Toledo; three sisters, Doris Fedei of Erie, Pennsylvania, Donna Pawlicki of Holland, Ohio, and Judy Summerville of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Payne and a sister, Betty Selles. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell Nelson, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio, with military honors accorded by the joint veteran's posts of Napoleon. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Snyder - Wesche Funeral Home. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted by Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio.

Dear Harla & Boys,
We were sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Shawn. Had my mother been in better health we would have attended the service.
Mom is now in a nursing home on oxygen & cannot travel.
I remember Uncle Shawn working on/washing his cars. He came to Erie several times to show off his newest vehicle & he always took me for a ride.
Surely he has been reunited with Grandma & Grandpa. We will all be together there some day.
You have our deepest sympathy & are in our thoughts & prayers.
We love you.

My condolences on the passing of Shawn. I knew him from Dr Darah's office in Swanton (I was at the check in window), and I always appreciated him when he came in. He was such a kind person, and he will be greatly missed. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during your unfortunate time. Just know he is in Heaven smiling down on you, and free of pain! God Bless, and time heals all wounds.
