I attended the University of Arizona with Bryan and Sara Foulk in the mid and late 1970's (...and 80's, I was in the eight year degree program). Being from Chicago and having no real family in the Southwest they invited me to Thanksgiving dinner at Sara's parents house probably around 1980 or so. My first memory of Harold and Shirley (I'm not sure if they were at that Thanksgiving or not, but they probably were) was a year or two later when they invited me to share Thanksgiving with them and their family in their home off of Wrightstown sometime in the early 1980's. Since that time I think that I have shared nearly every Thanksgiving with Shirley. Nearly 30 years worth of family and friends and me being welcomed and part of it all. I have been so lucky to have known her and she will be so sadly missed. My Holiday now shall always be celebrated with the memories of her smile.

I am glad that Shirley and Harold were able to spend some of their retirement years here in Tucson, and we were able to spend holidays together. I have many fond memories of them both.
