Ron and Liana and Family,
My heart broke when my mom called me and told me of your moms passing. My Iris (Mietzel) will always be dear to my heart. I will always remember the good times at the Orfei house when I was young and the wonderful friendship she and my mom had. They always made life interesting, those two, (they were like Lucy Ball and Ethel). Mietzel was my Confirmation sponsor and I still have the beautiful cross she gave me. I will always cherish the times in the late 70s when she would take me for lunch and introduce me to the coolest stores in Minneapolis. That is when I came home with the tallest pair of platform shoes from Soldatis, and my mom almost died. Your mom was a big part of my childhood and I will never forget her. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sad to learn of Auntie Iris' passing. My sincere condolences to Liana and Ron and their children and grandchildren. How difficult to lose both parents within so short a time. If one can find any solace at this sorrowful time, it is that their suffering is over and they have been swiftly reunited in Heaven. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
