THOMAS KOZAR Obituary
THOMAS CORNELIUS KOZAR (Age 79)
Of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017. He is survived by partner Sandra Bruce, daughters Kelly Kozar Pranger (Philip) and Kari Kozar (Chris Astarb), grandchildren Mariah and Nathaniel Pranger, sister Velma Kozar Holohan (Jack-deceased), nephew Michael Holohan (Marianne) and their children Finn and Violet. The family will be receive friends at PUMPHREY'S COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. (Rt. 28, just off I-270 exit 6A), Rockville, MD on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to9 p.m.. A memorial service will be held at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, 610 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 South Carroll St., Frederick, MD 21701 or Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Association, Inc., P.O. To Mr. Kozar's family, my deepest condolences. Mr. Kozar was my art teacher in 1966-67. He stands out as one of the best teachers and artists that I have known. I was looking for him on line and to my sadness, I found his obituary. I will always be grateful for his amazing ability as a teacher and also to have seen his work first hand.
