Dr. G. Winfield Hedrick

Dr. G. Winfield Hedrick, 97, of Harleysville, PA (formerly of Souderton), passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Peter Becker Community.
Married to Jackie (Mood) Hedrick for 58 years, he was born in Telford, PA, to the late Raymond and Emma (Freed) Hedrick. He graduated from Souderton Area High School, attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his medical degree, and served in the US Navy.
He practiced medicine in the Souderton area for over 50 years, serving patients at Grand View Hospital and many local nursing homes. He was also proud to have been the physician for the Souderton Area High School football team for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, reading, and playing cards and board games with his family. His daughters also have fond memories of the holidays spent with extended family that were filled with stories, laughter, and good food.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Telford, PA.
He is survived by daughters Connie Deibler and husband, Karl, of Southern NV, and Cheryl Taketa of Bellevue, WA, granddaughter, Kamaile Taketa Lynch and her husband, Gordon, of Seattle, WA, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Becca Stevens, and husband, Barry, of Allentown, PA, Phil Yoder, and wife, Stef, of Birdsboro, PA, Susan Bauer of Moundsville, WV, Barbara
Yoder, and husband, Edward Connor, of Hellertown, PA, and numerous grandnieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, his sister, Vivian Yoder, and her husband, George, daughter, Donna Brown, granddaughter, Stephanie Deibler, and grandsons, Steven and Matthew Buck.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 677 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by funeral services starting at 11:00 AM.
