A graduate of Burrillville High School, Bob served in the Army during WWII as a forward observer in the 93rd Motor Battalion from 1943 to 1946, and was awarded a Bronze Star for bravery.
Bob and family spent many happy hours camping, and he built a campground in Stetson, Maine which he and Marjorie operated for 13 years before retiring to Florida. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
