Jay M. Fickes

York - Jay Michael Fickes, 58, entered into Heaven on December 3, 2018 surrounded by his family after a courageous journey with pancreatic cancer. Jay will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Connie, his son Michael Jay Fickes and wife Em Martin Fickes, daughter Jacqueline (Fickes) Merrifield, husband Jordan and his precious granddaughter, Maren Jaye. Along with his family he is survived by his mother, siblings and their spouses: Scott and Vicky Fickes, Beth and Bob Drawbaugh, Marty and Susan Fickes, sister-in-law Suzanne Fickes, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Scott Arnold, and many special nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father, James Fickes, brother James P. Fickes, and in-laws, Joe and Mickey Cuffaro.

Connie and family, our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Worked with Jay many years. Shared lots of laughs and good times with him, even after work. you would often hear him say it sounds a little hokey. He even picked up a nickname as nervous Ned. was glad to be one of Jays friends, and we will miss him!
