I went to work for Falconbridge when my husband and I emigrated to Canada in 1970 and ended up working for Wally for five years before I left to start a family and, ultimately, our own business. Larger than life, Wally had an exuberance and energy for life, and I've never forgotten him. Although Stephen was the only one of his children I met, Wally spoke about all of them with great pride. My condolences on your loss.

My heart and prayers go out to all of you. Bud was in my wedding back in '51 and they both were close to my sister Arlen Mitchell who died the same day as Alice. The world will miss them. Affectionately, Anne Irwin

To The Dahl Family:
Wally was a legend in his time. I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to interact with him during the final years of his life. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I pray that your hearts will be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived. He will be missed by many.
