•Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains.

My deepest sympathy to the Martin Family. Many years Kathy and I have spoken over the phone on work related matters. Her voice will be missed.

To all of Kathy's family, I extend my heartfelt sympathy at her passing but I know memories of her life will always be in your hearts and souls. How I loved her smile and dimples -- I remember when she was just a babe and I always thought she was a "Gerber Baby". I know what a wonderful family Kathy had; she was truly blessed. Love in Christ, Diane

Dearest Garner Family,
We are very sorry to learn of Kathy’s passing. I know how important Kathy was in all your lives. Secure all the great memories and take salvation in the fact that God has bigger plans for Cathy. I may be gone, but I kept up with all of you through conversations with David over the years. Please know that our thoughts and prayers go out to the Garner and Martin families during this tragic time. I promise to make a long overdue visit on my next visit to Charlottesville.

Kathy, I remember so many of our visits in your office at the County. We always found something to talk about other than building permits. I never said thank you for introducing Danny and I to the Garner clan. For that we are truly grateful! You will definitely be missed here on earth, but I'm sure you are aleady watching over those you love!
Love, Stacy

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet her behind the veil. ~John Taylor

When my daughter was in kindergarten and first met Kathy she said, "She has curious eyes"...meaning, she was interested in life and it showed on her face and in her eyes. My daughter is now almost nine and when I told her of Kathy's passing, she was sad and said, "she had such curious eyes". I'll always think of her that way.

She will be missed. May God comfort you all.

Kathy will be very much missed. I knew her through her work at the County first where, with a smile, she was always willing to help. Later, though we attended different services at First Baptist, I could catch her sometimes in the fellowship hall before Sunday School. So sorry for your loss.
