Beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Chesaning Comfort Care, with his family at his side; at the age of 64 years.
The son of the late Santiago Jr. and Angela (Elizalde) Serrato, Steve was born on October 1, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan. He worked at the Michigan Sugar for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Steve loved watching movies, especially westerns and various Bruce Lee movies. He enjoyed playing chess. His little piece of Heaven was working outdoors and gardening. Above all, Steve cherished the time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his sisters: Patricia Rodolpho (Ftitchett), Audrey Rendon; brother-in-law: Robert Gonzales; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents; Steve was preceded in death by his brother and sister: Santiago Serrato III, Debra Gonzales; brother-in-law: Rosendo Rendon.
Honoring Steve’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Sheridan Road Baptist Church, 6911 Sheridan Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Rev. Keith Williams will officiate.
