Sue Annette (Casner) Thompson, 70, of Logan, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus, Ohio after a brief illness.
She was born on November 9, 1952 in Logan, Ohio to Robert French Casner and Jeanne Annette Casner. She is preceded in death by her parents and eldest son (Robert Thompson). She is survived by her three other children (Jason Keith, Sarah, and Brad), grandchildren (Lexi, Aubrey, Emma, Olivia, Haleigh, Brayden, and Hannah), sister and brother-in-law (Barb and Jim Lawrenz), nephew (Greg), and niece (Gretchen).
She earned her degree in nursing from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio and pursued a long and dedicated career in skilled nursing, eventually working and retiring from Hocking Valley Community Hospital. A lifelong lover of animals, she and her family were always surrounded by numerous pets of all kinds and breeds. Sue was quick to laugh and possessed a clever sense of humor, enriching the lives of those around her. She loved all things Halloween and embraced the fall season wholeheartedly each year.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date with interment to take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your local animal shelter or humane society in Sue’s name.
