William “Bill” Wentz passed away at the age of 53 on March 28, 2023, unexpectedly of a very serious medical infection.  He was born on September 6, 1969, to Tom and Nancy Wentz living then in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Bill is a graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1987.  Bill was also a graduate of The Golf Academy of the South in 1990.

In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his sister Pamela Wentz and nephews Jacob and Aaron Wentz AND his very loyal and friendly dog, Junebug.

Bill was a Teaching Golf Professional since his graduation from The Golf Academy.  His most significant playing victory was the Columbus Open.

While teaching golf Bill was known for his Swing to Balance approach described in his book, Leadership and Golf.

Bill was most known for his enormous positive attitude and generosity when interacting with others.  If you knew Bill, you were always in line for a giant hug.  His family was always his priority and his heart’s desire to see others happy. He was amazing with animals and plants; he loved to fish and enjoy all aspects of the outdoor life. He will be sorely missed by all.

Services for Bill will be held at the Harlem Church, 5520 Harlem Road, Galena, OH. 43021 on Wednesday April 12, 2023: Visitation from 4 to 6 pm; Memorial Service from 6 to 7 pm.
