Thanks to all who have commented here and have paused a moment to remember Grandpa. He was a fabulous man--full of life and vigor and passion--and I am so blessed to have known and loved him.

Johnny, Lee, and Melissa, you have my sincere condolences. Mr. Dwyer was not only my principal at the Annex, but also
my Little League Football Coach. He worked us hard, but he was a lot of fun!!

My memories of Mr. Dwyer when I was a student at Madison County Schools are great--even the squirt gun incident brings a smile now! My condolences to his family in this loss--thank you, Johnny, Lee, and Melissa, for sharing your Dad with us all.

To the Dwyer Family. Your family is in my prayers for strength and comfort. Your dad was my principle and he saw a lot of me back in those days. I seem to have stayed in his office, BUT he made me grow up. He will be missed.
