Bonnie Grainger Boseman, 88, of Winterville died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at The Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice. She has been a resident of Winterville for the past 24 years. Prior residence was Heritage Point Subdivision at Lake Gaston, NC and 708 Raleigh Street in Roanoke Rapids.
Mrs. Boseman, the daughter of the late Braxton and Lucille Grainger of Loris, SC was a native of Columbus County and attended Tabor City High School in Tabor City, NC. After graduation, she went to Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC, where she met her true love, Horace. She attended NC Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC and received her degree in elementary education.
In early years, the Boseman's lived in Richmond, Virginia where she managed an air conditioning business. After being transferred to Roanoke Rapids, she began her career in elementary education for the next 22 years.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be conducted at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, 507 Highway 158 West in Roanoke Rapids, NC on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM by Pastor Jason Yeatts. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the East Tenth Street Church of Christ, 1207 E. 10th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Mrs. Boseman, the wife of the late Horace Boseman is survived by her two daughters, Judy B. Barbe and husband David, and Lisa B. Lassiter and husband Mike, Five grandchildren: Linda Selleck (Gordon), Kristy Cox (Bryan), Steven Barbe (Samantha), Michael Clements (Bethany), and Jonathan Lassiter. Great Grandchildren Kathryn, Jason, Carolyn, Avery, Olivia, and Remi. Also surviving are two sisters Margaret Johnson (Bill) and Brenda Bruton (Bobby), one brother Richard Grainger, brother in law Ricky Harrelson, and sister in law Sue Grainger, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Boseman was also preceded by her sisters, Anna Rogers and Linda Harrelson, and her brother Dennis Grainger.
We only part to meet again.
