Caroline Sue Behrens, 74, of Anderson, passed away after an extended illness on January 28, 2023. She was born on October 26, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Sue graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1966, and Anderson College with a degree in nursing.
She was a registered nurse for St. John's Hospital and several nursing homes in the area. Sue was also a devoted daughter and caretaker of her father.
She was a girl scout leader, loved fishing, playing games, listening to music, and was an avid baker, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her loving life partner, Jim Alexander; children, Kim Boone (David Hanserd) and Kris (Kim) Julius; grandchildren, Sydni, Rylee, Katie (Justin), Kooper, Josh, and Robbin; and two great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are her siblings, Ronnie (Cathy) Hamby, Brenda (John) Czipri, and several other siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Irene Girt; brother, Glenn Hamby; and many beloved aunts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 11-1pm, at the Lapel Lion's Club, 329 Main St. Lapel, IN, 46051.
