It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Michael Baker, II, who left this world peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on March 12, 1963, Robert was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his beloved daughter, Kasey (Jordan Hinton) Howell, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Seth Howell, Bradyn Howell, Eli Howell, Milo Baker, and Lincoln Baker. He will also be lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Bailey Ferguson, and his closest friends, Bill Pierce and Sean Doty, along with Murial and Dave Sisson.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Barbara (Mitchell) Baker; a son, Michael Baker, his sister, Rachel Mitchell; and his dear grandparents, Russell and Lillian Mitchell. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Robert was known for his passion for gardening, particularly his tomatoes, and his dedication to maintaining a beautiful lawn. He found joy in the great outdoors, often spending time on his front porch with a cold beer, grilling with family, or engaging in spirited conversations about NASCAR as a diehard Dale Earnhardt fan. Robert cherished the moments he spent with his grandsons, whether they were building model cars or fishing together. He also enjoyed the challenge of crossword puzzles, often finding solace and satisfaction in completing them.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 2-4pm. A funeral ceremony will follow at 4:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes & Crematory, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana.
Robert Michael Baker, II will be deeply missed, but his warmth, kindness, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
