Charles Allen "Chuck" Marksberry, 76, of Hebron, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Chuck was born in Covington, KY on August 1, 1946 to the late Othello Eugene and Naomi (Miller) Marksberry. A graduate of Grant County High School, Chuck attended Eastern Kentucky University before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He spent a year stationed in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. Chuck married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Becky, and lived in many places across the country before settling in Arlington, Virginia at the conclusion of his commitment to military service. Chuck and Becky returned to Northern Kentucky in 1979 where they raised their two children. Chuck had a career as an IT Specialist, working for several companies including Microdata, McDonnell Douglas, and most recently, Walgreens.
Chuck had a passion and talent for woodworking, making toys for his children and grandchildren. He loved travel and spent much of his retirement visiting National Parks, almost always driving to these locations, and seeing the sights along the way. Chuck and Becky had been to all 50 states together, and their last epic trip was overseas, visiting Croatia in 2022. His happy place was on the beaches of the Outer Banks.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Becky Stroude Marksberry, son Chris Marksberry (Aubri), daughter Katie Hawkes (Sean), grandchildren Ian, Logan, and Aidan, sister Gwen Dills, sister Mary Jo Kinmon (Ray), brother Larry Marksberry, mother-in-law Louise Worthington Stroude Loyd, sisters-in-law Jackie Osborne (Jim), Jeanne Warlick (Phil), and Lou Ann Williams, brothers-in-law Patrick Stroude, Greg Stroude (Karen) and Jeff Stroude (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will take place on Monday April 3, 2023 from 10 am until 12:30 pm at Bullittsville Christian Church. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. A reception will follow at Dry Ridge Christian Church. To the Marksberry Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Chuck´s passing. He was one of the good guys, for sure.
Our thoughts and prayers are with family and Chuck´s many friends during this difficult time.
In tribute, may we all offer a special prayer for Chuck, and perform one extra act of kindness today in his honor.
Our deepest sympathy,
The Dahmann and Erpenbeck families

Chuck will be missed - he was a great comrade back in the 80's through Microdata - we both were hardware support techs... Easy to work with, he had the right demeanor at the right time...

Fond memories - only wish I had gotten out to Cincinatti more often with time to spare... last saw Chuck about 20 years ago...

Peace to the family and know that he is fondly remembered!
