On January 8, 2025, Chester Copeland, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord in Watauga, Texas at the age of 67.
Chester was born June 14, 1957, in Lakewood, New Jersey to Chester Copeland and Mattie Roland. He received his Associate Degree in General Studies from Trenton State College. Chester worked as an Optician and as a Truck Driver. He married Tonya Roshell Copeland on April 21, 1991. Chester found comfort in his church homes including Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, New Beginnings and Embassy City Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cooking and eating good with family. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ronald Maple for assisting with end of life care and being a great friend to him.

Chester was welcomed in Heaven by not only our Lord but by a host of family and friends including his parents, Chester Copeland and Mattie Roland; wife, Tonya Roshell Copeland; sister, Sylvia Ann Wheeler; sister, Earlie Mae Swift; niece, Kia Swift.
Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his daughters and their spouses, Alicia Le’Nora Danzey and Brandon Danzey, Hana Copeland, Chestina Copeland and Christassia Walter; sister, Kelley Hill; grandchildren, Lyric Danzey, London Danzey, Jabulani Maposa Jr., Enchantment Lemmons, Diamond Wheeler, Remeness Wheeler, Legacy Ann Wheeler; nieces, Dulcinea Maposa, Terry Swift, Cynthia Swift, Jaime Mack, Natividad Leon, Kiki Joseph, Beyonce Joseph; nephews, Eugene Ross, Torrance Jospeh, David Wheeler, Kenyatta Swift, Joshua Gatson along with numerous other loving family and friends.
