Christal Edwards Coley

Christal Edwards Coley, 53, passed away unexpectedly at her home Saturday, July 15, 2023. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends that knew her.
A celebration of Christal's life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral home on Friday, July 21 st, at 4 PM. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Christal was born on September 18, 1969, in Greenville, NC. She grew up in the Pitt County area and was a graduate of North Pitt High School. She relocated to Rocky Mount, NC in adulthood and raised her 3 children there. Christal spent almost 20 years as a dedicated and beloved employee at CenturyLink. She relocated back to Pitt County in the later years and enjoyed her life with her precious animals, family and friends. Christal was known for her loving, selfless, and giving nature. She always wanted to make sure the ones around her were taken care of. She had a warm disposition, was full of compassion for others and gave the greatest hugs. Christal was a huge fan of George Strait; fried pork chops and crime shows. She loved her children dearly, and her proudest title was Meme.
Christal is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her father William Edwards.
Left behind to carry on her memory is Her Daughter, Kaitlyn Harding and husband Brandon of Chocowinity; Daughter, Megan Cratt and husband Evan of Burlington, and Son, Allen Mills of Washington D.C. her mother, Judy Sangmeister and husband Leonard; sisters Tina Edgmon and Jamie Sangmeister; Brothers Russell Edwards and Leonard Sangmeister. Her grandsons Peyton, Mason, Sean, and Parker; and her granddaughter Nevaeh. Also, several cousins, nephews, and niece.
