Dale Lee Goette

Dale Lee Goette, 53, of Marion, Iowa passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with a Visitation held one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Bricelyn, Minnesota.
Dale was born on December 4, 1969, in Wells, Minnesota to Ronald and Carolee (Babcock) Goette. He attended Bricelyn High School. He worked as a truck driver for FedEx for many years. Dale loved to travel to various BBQ restaurants, especially restaurants he saw on Food Network. He had a passion for food and was a BBQ fanatic, always trying to learn new recipes, building new smokers while checking on meat sales. Dale will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Carson Goette; Carson's mother, Jacque Behrens; brothers, Paul Goette, John (Trish) Goette, David (Amy) Goette; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Krystal) Goette, Darcy (David) Bailey, Andrew Goette, Rachel Goette, Nathan Goette, Hope Goette, Adde Goette.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
