McDuffie, David Purvis

October 4, 1954 – December 15, 2022. Full of love and compassion and an undeniable sense of humor, at 68 years young, David left us to join his heavenly family on December 15. Our brother was preceded in death by our parents, James McDuffie, M.D. and Sara McDuffie. He leaves behind daughters, Sara Katherine Trail and Ailea Koxlien, brother, James II, sisters Ruth (Charles) Marks, and Tamye (David) Metzger. He was Uncle to Alex, Kaelyn and Jessica. David attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School (class of 72). After graduating from UW Eau Claire with a degree in marketing, he worked at GTE, Miller Brewing Company and PepsiCo before moving to the Chicago area to work for McDonald's and Quality Croutons. During his time at McDonald's, he became a partner in the Blockbuster Video business. David was very active in his church, serving on the church council, singing in the choir, and volunteered for much more. David will be lovingly remembered by a widespread circle of dear friends who knew that his big heart was always in the right place. Rest in peace beloved David.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Divinity Divine Charity Ev. Lutheran Church 900 E. Henry Clay, Whitefish Bay, at 10:00am with funeral service to follow at 11:00am.

Please consider a memorial to Divinity Divine Charity or Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

David's funeral service will be available for viewing at www.heritagefuneral.com following the funeral.
