YOUNG, Diana – of Grand Blanc, age 77, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven on June 9, 2025. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Michigan 48423. A private burial service will be held with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Diana was born in Flint, Michigan on July 1, 1947, daughter of Ernest and Madeline Barter. She was raised in Davison, Michigan where she made many dear and lifelong friendships at Davison First Baptist Church and Davison High School. Diana raised her family and lived the remainder of her life in communities surrounding Flint.
Diana is survived by her two married sons, Scott (Adrienne) Young and Ryan (Libby) Young; her two grandsons, Andrew and Nathan; and her brother, Jim (Joan) Barter. She also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vicki Barter.
Diana enjoyed spending time with her family and her lifelong circle of childhood girlfriends. She loved telling stories and was extremely proud of both of her sons and her grandsons. She always looked forward to her outings with her girlfriends including trips to Northern Michigan, dinners out and card nights. Diana loved to cook and you could always find a full fridge of food and treats in her home ready for any guests. No matter the occasion, you could always count on a card from Diana in the mail with a personal heartfelt message. Diana will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.
