Donald Dunleavy Obituary
Donald Michael Dunleavy, or known to his friends as "Donnie", peacefully passed away on April 1, 2024 at Arbor Ridge, a long term care facility in Wayne, New Jersey. He was 67 years old.
Donnie was born on Fort Leonard Wood in Jefferson City, Missouri on December 13, 1956. He moved to Mine Hill shortly thereafter. He graduated from Dover High School and attended Seton Hall University for two years. Donnie loved celebrating the Catholic Faith.
Donnie worked for NJ Transit out of Hoboken before retiring. Donnie is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Dunleavy, and two sisters Joanne Dunleavy and Mary Olivieri and her husband Marc and brother-in-law Matthew Sherwood.
He is predeceased by his father, Donald J. Dunleavy and his sister Carolyn Sherwood.
Donnie was a passionate uncle to his eight nieces and nephews: Michael Hartman, Rachel Muminovic and husband Alen, Justin Hartman and wife Pam, Casey Sherwood and wife Stephanie, Megan Crotts and husband Cameron, Carly Sherwood, Nick Olivieri, and Sam Olivieri and wife Victoria.
A Memorial Visitation will be held 4-6pm on Friday April 5, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:45 at the Funeral Home. Interment is private.
