Doris Gorman

Doris Eleanor Gorman, age 90 years, of Bordentown, NJ passed away peacefully on the night of May 16, 2022 at her daughter's residence in Columbus, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, March 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Muckel Gorman. She had resided in Bordentown, NJ for 34 years. She was an active member of the Bordentown Historic Society and Columbus Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, the seashore, and spending time with her family. She was a retired secretary with IBM in Dayton, NJ, retiring in 1998 after 20 years of service. She then went on to work as a secretary to the vice principles at Allentown High School in Allentown, NJ until she retired again at 82 years of age in May 2014.
She attended Goldey Commercial College where she received her secretarial course diploma in 1952. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Graebner Papadopoulos and son-in-law Paraskevas Papadopoulos, of Columbus, NJ; and three granddaughters, Christine Meche, of Ridgefield, CT; Helen Williams, of Longmont, CO; and Grace Mattei, of Los Angeles, CA.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Columbus Baptist Church, 24260 West Main Street, Columbus. Receiving hours will be held from 4:30pm-5:30pm, prior to the service. Please visit www.huberfuneralhome.com for further information.
