I have been so honored to know Mary and Doug and their Family as I served as their Pastor at First UMC. I was so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. There are so many wonderful memories connected with this family and the church. Doug was always so kind and so willing to help with anything that needed doing.
Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Decorating the church for Christmas, and he and Mary were so kind to open their home to a Bible Study, which Doug taught as well.
I would be amiss if I didn't speak of Doug's great faith and love of family and church. He rejoiced over marriages and births , each person in his family brought him joy.
I have often said when someone passes, how happy someone would be to see Jesus. With all the love I saw in Doug's face every time he talked about his Lord. I can only imagine what joy there is in heaven now that he has seen Him face to face.
We will greatly miss him because we love him so, but we will never forget this precious man. Vickie Seibert
