Frank Flood

Frank Joseph Flood, 84, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 14, 2023.
Frank was born in Queens, New York on October 4, 1939, a son of Frank and Ethal Flood. He graduated Bishop Loughlin MHS in Brooklyn New York. Frank was a scholarship athlete and played on his high school's basketball team. One of Frank's greatest passions was education. He continued achieving degrees at St. John's University (BA, MS) and the University of Virginia (PhD).
Frank worked in education as a teacher, supervisor, and school Superintendent for over 30 years in New York State. After retiring from education in 1994, Frank worked in the field of financial planning, becoming a Certified Financial Planner and Senior Investment Advisor for Prime Capital where he was responsible for the wealth management program. He later sold the business to G&C where he continued providing investment advice until he retired. Frank enjoyed learning, laughing, skiing, hiking, golfing and spending time with friends and family. Frank became an integral part of the communities he lived in and volunteered his time in many professional and civic organizations. Frank was a member and officer of various organizations in the Belfair community in Bluffton, SC as well as Bently Village in Naples, Florida. He was also the past Chairman of the Board of the Beaver Creek Club and President of the Elkhorn Lodge Homeowners Association in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Most recently, Frank was tutoring underprivileged children and mentoring them in pursuit of higher education.
Frank is survived by 2 stepchildren, 4 grandchildren, his niece and nephew and his partner Ginny Schmidt.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his amazing wives Frances Flood and Patti Burrows.
Burial will be a small private family event. Celebrations of Frank's life will take place later in South Carolina and Beaver Creek, Colorado.
