Jack Rockafellow Obituary
Jack was born December 19, 1960 in Mason City, Iowa and moved with his family to Iowa City in 1967. As in many large families, while growing up Jack shoveled sidewalks, mowed yards, and delivered papers. He went hunting and fishing with his father and brothers, even in the coldest of Iowa winters. He attended Regina, City High School and received his GED in 1983. He later took classes at Kirkwood Community College.
Jack was employed in a variety of different jobs around Iowa City.
In 2013, Jack moved to Greeley where he enjoyed his independence, the great outdoors and the company of friends.
Survivors include his brothers: Pat (Novelette) Rockafellow, Mike Rockafellow, Tim (Kim) Rockafellow, and Tom Rockafellow; his sisters, Mona (Chuck) Eckermann, Paulette (Terry) Jones, Kathleen (Dave) Link, and Mary Rockafellow and sister-inlaw Amie (Bill) Rockafellow; his aunt Susie (Ed) Boyle; 15 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and nephews and many cousins and extended family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Irving "Rocky" Rockafellow; brothers, Todd and Bill Rockafellow, and sisters Lynn Apel and Suzette (Joe) Zoll.
Per Jack's wishes; private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.
