Jerry R. Velasquez

Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend, Jerry Velasquez, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 19th, 2023.
Jerry was born in Brigham City, Utah August 7, 1940 to Lawrence Robinson and Norma Wight. She graduated from Box Elder High School and met and fell in love with her eternal companion Archie Robert Velasquez. They were married in 1959 and later sealed in the Logan Temple for all eternity.
Jerry was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings in the 15th Ward. Jerry was instrumental in the traveling road show and with her friend Janet Williams they enjoyed many years of organizing and orchestrating the talent.
Jerry loved her family and was very proud of all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her greatest pleasure was gathering her family around her and listening to their laughter and watching them share their love with one another.
Jerry is survived by her brother Joe (Deena) Burgener; Children: Lane (Theresa) Velasquez, Laurie (Bryan) Peterson, Matt (Alley) Velasquez and Amy (Ken) Snyder; 20 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Siblings: Pat Freston and Debbie Hauenstein; and the love of her life Archie Velasquez.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Brigham City15th Ward, 203 North 200 West. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City and prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church from 9:40 - 10:40 a.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
