John Edward Bolinski, a man of courage, creativity, and completed his earthly journey on May 11, 2025, in Franklin, Wisconsin. Born on December 2, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John's life was one marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family.
John's formative years in Milwaukee saw him excel academically, graduating with honors from Pius XI High School. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to excellence laid a firm foundation for the remarkable life that followed. Upon graduation, John joined the United States Navy, serving his country with distinction. It was during this pivotal time that he met his beloved future wife, Marianne, on a fortuitous blind date. Their love story was one for the ages, blossoming into a lifelong partnership that would endure until Marianne preceded him in death.
After dutifully completing his service in the Navy, John returned to civilian life and inspired by his father-in-law, embarked on a successful career at the downtown Milwaukee main post office. As a supervisor, he was respected for his leadership and integrity, eventually retiring from a role that had become a significant part of his identity.
Retirement offered John new horizons to explore, and he pursued his passions with vigor. He became a licensed real estate agent, a testament to his never-ending desire to learn and grow. Travel became a cornerstone of his leisure, with John's adventures taking him from the majestic landscapes of Alaska to the rich cultural tapestry of Europe. However, it was the rhythmic pulse of train travel across the United States that truly captured his heart, leading to a fascination with model trains. His dedication to this hobby resulted in an elaborate, fully functioning model train setup in his home-a marvel of detail and craftsmanship.
John's creative energies also found expression in the literary world, culminating in the publication of a fiction novel that brought him great pride. His storytelling ability and imaginative flair were evident in every page, earning him the admiration of readers and fellow writers alike.
A true sports aficionado, John's presence was a fixture at numerous Milwaukee Brewers games, and he relished the opportunity to cheer on the Packers and Bucks whenever he could. The camaraderie and excitement of the games were a source of great joy for him.
John's legacy is carried forward by his loving family, who found in him an unwavering pillar of support and inspiration. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Keith) Hallen, son David (Shannon) Bolinski, and his cherished grandchildren Brianna, Alaya, and Rhiannon Bolinski, along with his great-grandson Bryson. Each of them will hold dear the memory of a man who lived life with passion, integrity, and a boundless love for those around him.

Marianne Bolinski (nee Murphy), left this world on January 7, 2025, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 16, 1942, to Ruth and Cecil Murphy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marianne lived a full and vibrant life until her peaceful passing in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, surrounded by the love of her family.
Marianne's life was marked by her dedication to her family. Beloved wife of 61years to John Bolinski, cherished mother to David Bolinski (Shannon)and Kathleen Hallen (née Bolinski) (Keith), Marianne's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brianna, Alaya, Rhiannon, and her great-grandson, Bryson.
Professionally, Marianne was a pillar of American Family Insurance, where she served loyally for 38 years. Her pursuit of excellence led her to obtain her insurance agent license in 2007, a testament to her lifelong love of learning and intellectual growth. Marianne's colleagues remember her as a person who brought not only her sharp mind but also her friendly spirit to the workplace every day.
But it was in the realm of creativity that Marianne truly found her calling. Alongside her parents, Cecil and Ruth Murphy, she co-founded Maru, a successful crafting business that operated for 15 years. The collaboration saw Cecil meticulously preparing the greenware, Ruth sewing exquisite clothing, and Marianne expertly painting each creation. Their shared endeavor produced an array of beautiful porcelain dolls, bells, ornaments, lamps, and an assortment of wooden crafts, including intricate miniature dollhouses that delighted the hearts of many.
A longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton, Marianne's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She served as Chairman of the holiday bazaar for many years, channeling her organizational skills and creative flair into an event that brought joy and fellowship to the community. Her love for sharing her talents led her to teach oil painting and porcelain classes, touching the lives of countless individuals who found inspiration in her guidance.
In her later years, Marianne discovered a new passion for quilting, a craft where her artistic talents shone brightly. She produced over 50 quilts, with one of her earliest pieces, a collaborative effort with her father, earning a first-place award in a quilting contest. This quilt not only symbolized her creative spirit but also her deep connection to her family's legacy.
Words fall short when attempting to encapsulate a person as multifaceted as Marianne. She was creative, intelligent, and friendly, touching the lives of all who knew her. Her ability to light up a room with her presence and her art will be deeply missed, but her impact will continue to be felt through the beauty she has left behind.
As we bid farewell to Marianne Bolinski, we celebrate a life that was lived with passion, love, and an unwavering spirit of generosity. Her story is one of a life well-lived, and though she has left this earthly realm, her memory will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
