Lucho Carrion-Murayari

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Lucho Carrion-Murayari, 77, a longtime resident of Carmel, NY on April 2, 2023.
Lucho was born on January 12, 1946 in Peru to the late Jose Carrion Benites and Lucinda Murayari Pereyra.
He married the love of his life Gail (Both) on January 4, 1975 in Carmel, NY and together they were blessed with three wonderful children. Lucho was immensely proud of his Peruvian heritage. After immigrating to the United States, he continued his education by earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona. He proudly gained his United States Citizenship on June 12, 1981. He worked as the VP of Property Management and Security Officer for Putnam County National Bank in Carmel, NY from 1991 to 2018. Previously, he worked for Lloyd Lumber Company for nine years.
He will be remembered as the Dad who went to every sporting event to watch his children play soccer, tennis, or wrestle. He adored being a husband, father, and grandfather. Spending time with his family was Lucho's greatest joy in life.
Lucho is survived by his beloved wife Gail Carrion-Murayari and three loving children, Gary and his wife Diana, Alyssa and Andrew as well as three adoring grandchildren, Baishan, Connor and Adelaide. Lucho also leaves behind his sister, Georgina Carrion-Caesares and brother, Romel Carrion.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his brother Gilberto Carrion-Murayari.
A Visitation will be held to honor Lucho's life on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Cargain Funeral Homes, 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512.
A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512.
Following the Mass, a private cremation will take place.
