Lucye Jane Prcin

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lucye Jane Prcin, age 100, who departed this life peacefully due to natural causes on February 6, 2025, in her lifelong hometown of Lubbock, Texas. Born on February 27, 1924, Lucye was a cherished daughter of the late Mattie Bull and grew to be a devoted mother and grandmother.
Lucye was a proud member of the Monterey Baptist Church, where she dedicated many years of service as a Sunday School Teacher. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her through the challenges and triumphs that she encountered, particularly during her formative years growing up through the Great Depression. She exemplified a simple and frugal lifestyle, placing great value on family and the relationships she nurtured throughout her life.
In her professional endeavors, Lucye served as an administrator in the gas industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to her career. She also owned and operated rental properties, which reflected her entrepreneurial spirit. A beloved member of the Airstream Travel Club, she enjoyed traveling and sharing experiences with friends.
Lucye possessed a green thumb and had a profound love for gardening, taking great pleasure in nurturing her plants and flowers. It was in her garden that she found solace, often reflecting on her blessings and the beauty of life.
Lucye is survived by her son, Randy Prcin, and her beloved grandson, Noah Prcin. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her.
Lucye was preceded in death by: William Bull, Larry Prcin, Luther Bull, Evelyn Grubbs, Elsie Bull.
Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sanders Memorial Chapel, followed by a graveside service at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
