Robert Dale Howland, Jr. 52, of Big Spring, died Monday, July 3, 2023 following a motorcycle accident in Big Spring. A memorial service with military honors will be held Spring Creek Fellowship, 1801 FM700, Big Spring, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10 AM.
Robert was born in Bryan, TX, February 15, 1971 to Robert D. Howland and Kay Easterling Howland. He graduated from Coahoma High School. He spent several years in the US Army serving in Desert Storm, Afghanistan and other areas throughout the Middle East, Europe and South America. He later worked for Blackwater. He was an avid motorcyclist and co-founded the Fidei Defensor Motorcycle Club which is made up of Blackwater veterans. He was the founder and president of KBA Mobile Heavy Equipment Repair and Welding of Big Spring.
Robert is survived by his wife, Kerri Howland; his parents, Robert and Kay Howland; his sister, Michelle Crenshaw (Shannon); sons, Cody Robey and Skippy Howland; daughter, Shawan Hjalmarson; granddaughter, Aubrey Groves; and nephew, Oden Yanez. Robert was a cherished friend of mine. He pulled me out of a very dark place and I loved him dearly. I am so sorry . I will miss him always.
