Delia Hewtty Gutierrez, beloved wife, devoted mother to her four children and four children she gained through marriage, cherished daughter, beloved grandma, sister, cousin, and friend, 51, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, kindness, and love leave a lasting mark on everyone who knew her, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
Born on October 13th, 1974, in Big Spring, Texas, to Florencio and Margarita Hewtty, Delia grew up surrounded by the love her parents, siblings, and cousins who shaped the person she became; caring, selfless, and devoted to those she loved.
Delia's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud and dedicated mother to Stephanie, Cassie, Patrick, and Kevin, who were her pride and joy. Her children were her world, and they always felt the depth of her love through her unwavering support and gentle guidance. Whether she was cheering them on from the sidelines or enjoying a quiet day at home, Delia treasured every moment spent with them. Her home was often filled with laughter, warmth, and the kind of love that only a mother like her could give. She was also a proud and loving grandmother, finding pure happiness in the time she spent with her grandchildren. Their laughter and hugs brought light to her days, and she will forever be remembered by them for her warmth, patience, and unconditional love.
Delia was preceded in death by her grandparents, her stepson Martin, and her father and mother-in-law. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mitchell; her loving parents, Florencio and Margarita; her four children, Stephanie, Cassie, Patrick, and Kevin; her three bonus children, Mitchell, Magun, and Melanie; her two brothers Tommy and Chico, and her beloved grandchildren, Lynix, Violette, Kenneth, Ryker, Kreed, Falyn, Andrew, Jayden, and Kinzlee, and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all of whom will carry her memory and love she had for them in their hearts forever.
