Ruth Valentine, 97, of Lancaster, passed away on April 3, 2023. She was born to the late Clarence and Laura Krile in Sugar Grove on January 8, 1926.
Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Berne Union and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Sugar Grove.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcella (Dave) Lape and Sherry (Mike) Johnson; son-in-law, Jim Notestine; grandchildren, Vic (Paula) Lape, Robert (Maryann) Lape, Karie Lape, Mike (Cece) Peters, Doug (Jennifer) Peters, Tracy Holtel, and Craig (Traci) Notestine; great grandchildren, Zach Lape, Jacob Lape, Hailey (Josh) Kline, Brandin Peters, Andrea (Nick) Chambers, Kayla Peters, Jacob Schwalbach, Stephen Peters, and Skye Holtel; great great grandchildren, Ashton Campbell, Chase May, Cohen Peters, Raelynn Arledge, and Jackson Kline; and sister, Lucille Wolfinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Zeke" Valentine; daughter, Linda Notestine; sisters, Margaret Wolfinger and Gladys Gorr; and parents.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Danny R. Koch will take place on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 11 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 7120 Sponagle Road, SE Sugar Grove, Ohio 43155. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of FairHoPe Hospice and Main Street Terrace for their kindness and care of Ruth.
