Sven Joseph Cole, known affectionately as Joey to his friends and family, passed away on January 23, 2025. Born March 5, 1986, in Covina, CA, Sven was a beacon of laughter and energy from his earliest years. His charismatic personality and adventurous spirit made him a beloved figure in every community he was part of. From his birthplace in Covina to his adult life in
Ogden, Utah, Sven's vibrant presence was a constant source of joy for those fortunate enough to know him.
Sven was an ambitious man who thrived in his role as the Operations Manager in the oil industry, where he worked diligently for 16 years. His success in his professional life, however, was only exceeded by his passion for life and love for his family and friends. Sven's love of disc golf, snowboarding and boating led him to establish the 'Sunday Funday Club', where he served as the hilarious and vivacious president. Known for his funny antics and engaging personality, he created unforgettable memories for all who joined his wild adventures. Sven's ambition extended beyond his professional life and hobbies - he was a decorated professional disc golfer and had earned spots on both the Dean's and President's lists in college.
Sven was a man who cherished every moment and lived life to its fullest. His boat, aptly known as his "Baby," was his pride and joy, a testament to his love for adventure. His family was his anchor, and he loved them dearly. Sven is survived by his mother, Rose, his father, Sven senior, Sister Sharee, and brothers, Raul and Moses. His light, love, and laughter will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched.
We invite those who knew Sven to share their favorite memories and upload photos of him to his memorial page. As we mourn his loss, let's also celebrate his life by remembering the joy, laughter, and adventure he brought into our lives.
