W. L. Dillard

W.L. "Wes" Dillard age 77, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on December 29, 2022, at his home in Durant. Wes was born on November 13, 1945, in Oakland, California to Garland and Odessa (Fite) Dillard. Wes married Carla Webster on July 4, 1967, in Stringtown, OK. They moved to Durant in 1978 from Atoka with their family. Wes worked as a carpenter for most of his life until his retirement. He was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Wes loved the time he was able to spend with family and friends.
Wes is preceded in death by his parents; son W.L. "Dink" Dillard and sisters Nell Williams and Bernice Wingate.
Wes is survived by his wife Carla Dillard of Durant, OK; children Charlotte Harper and husband Bubba of Durant, OK, Mona Creswell and husband Glenn of Denison, TX, Marsha Dillard and husband Bo of Durant, OK, Misty Hendricks and husband Jason of Mead, OK, and Matt Dillard and wife Lori of Durant, OK; brothers Bob Dillard of Daisy, OK and Randy Dillard of Blue, OK; sisters Linda Sanders of Durant, OK, and Tammie Burkett and husband Noel of Blue, OK; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Wes's life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Kerry Groce will officiate. Interment will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Daisy, OK. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM.
