McLean, Matthew James Lord
son of Remi Fitzgerald-McLean and Martin McLean, brother to Brianna Gilbert and Julianne Averbuck; Jude, August and Georgia's proud and loving Uncle Matty's life was taken tragically in December. He was found on December 21, 2015. Just twenty-one years-old, Matthew squeezed every ounce of joy and adventure out of his life with a perpetual smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye. Matty was one of the greatest individuals any of us have ever had the privilege of knowing. He had such a pure soul and one of a kind, magnetic personality. He had an exceptional way of making each person he came in contact with a happier and more optimistic version of themselves. He was an accomplished musician and songwriter, artist and advocate. Matty had such a genuine and one of a kind sense of humor, brilliant comedic timing and unparalleled wit. Matthew loved people and animals and made it his mission to rescue any and all of them who needed him. As a strong Christian, Matthew was an intuitive kindred spirit and loyal friend to all, always accommodating and welcoming. He approached each day as his last and made his love so apparent to each person in his life. There was a beautiful celebration of Matthew's life at St. Francis Xavier Church on December 28th.
