Dear Sandy and family,
It was sad to learn about Mel. I really appreciated him. He and I would meet often and he would give me statistics lessons. What I learned helped me be a better pastor as he taught me to measure success and failure of activities and programs in ways that transcended mere perception. I will always remember his pleasant personality, his heart for people, his love of education and his commitment to the Lord. I'm praying for you as you move through these sad days.
