I have just found out of the shocking news of Mark's untimely death. I grew up with Mark in Karmel Village and was friends of his sisters', Kath and Sandy. Mark was always a good guy and a great jokester! God Bless those he leaves behind.

I just found out that Mark had passed away last night from Donny (RAY) Pasco. I met Mark thru Donny years ago. He always made me smile! I am sad that I missed saying good bye. So I am saying it now. God Bless Mark and his family. 55 is just way too young! And he was very young at heart.

I was just notified of Mark's passing away, and am so sorry. Mark was the most talented jeweler. I will always have fond memories of him playing tennis outside of the powell store or designing his latest creation in his chair out in the sun.

My deepest condolences go to Rosie, Sandy and Cathy. I live in Powell, now, as do my parents as of 5 years ago. I ran into Mark in his shop a few years back. It was nice to see him and remember Maize Road. He was a very talented person. My parents, brother George and I send our thoughts and prayers.

May my deepest condolences go the Cathy & family.
We grew up together in Karmel Village in the Northland area. To this day I can still recall meeting at the Abbott home to walk to school and Mark with his GREAT smile!What a wonderful family..

Echoing the sentiments already expressed about Mark, and to his family my family extends our condolences and shares the grief at this unexpected loss. Over the years, through and since high school, Mark and I were pretty tight and I certainly will miss my close friend.

I've had the opportunity and pleasure to cherish a friendship with Mark for over 40 years. Many things can be said about his likable personality and awesome artistic talent.
For me, I will always remember Mark

I know how difficult it is to loose someone and my heart goes out to Mark’s family and friends. My memories of Mark will always be with me, from the neighborhood as kids, going to high school, to the rest of our lives growing up.

I'd heard Mark died this weekend and I just wanted to say what a great guy he was. We lost touch with each other after high school and I never realized what an accomplished artist he was, Although I do remember seeing glimpses of that talent in high school (70-74).
I think back to when we knew each other and Mark will always be one of thoe people you think of and smile. He was always friendly, ready to say what's up, or set to play a practical joke on someone. Fun but never mean.
As an accomplished artist creating jewelry, he gained national acclaim for his work. Seeing his website (abbottjewelers.com)and his work is incredible. I had no idea.
He was a truly unique person and will be missed a lot.

I guess Mark had a pretty full and happy life and he didn't have to suffer...we should probably consider the good times and try not to be too sad, if that's possible.

Our condolences go out to the Abbott Family and Susan. We have known Mark since his early days as a goldsmith. He had a unique talent in working stones into his jewelry designs. Marks designs have been astonishing for
which he was just receiving awards. Those we have seen in the industry have expressed their sorrow and regrets. We will miss his kind heart, big smile and laughter.

Linda and I offer the sincerest condolences to Mark's family-Rose, Sandy & Cathy, as well as Fred Francia and their children, all of whom I grew up with.
Mark and I used to go on many adventures as children in and around the Northland area and Mark always made a point of staying in touch even after achieving fame as a jewelry designer.
He loved life and lived it to its fullest. His sense of humor, among other traits, will be greatly missed.

Mark always was and always will be a close friend of mine. I have so many memories of him over the last 20 years and I cheerish them all. From his mom's basement to just seeing him a couple months ago after winning his national awards.
