Dorothy A. Workman, age 87, went to be with the Lord at home on Saturday, October 14. Survived by her loving husband, Gene of 67 years; one son, Ronald L (Judy) Workman of Reynoldsburg; three daughters, Brenda S. (Michael) McCarthy of Columbus, Cynthia A. Peck of Grandview, Teresa K. (David) Noble of Scotland; grandchildren, W. Robert (Karen) Peck of Upper Arlington, Nicholas Peck of Grandview, John and Jason McCarthy of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Jason Jr. McCarthy, Alexis McCarthy, and Aisley Peck; and brother- in-law, Bill McCarthy of Marysville. Dorothy was preceded in death by parents Carroll and Ruth Meeker and sister Francis S Meeker. Born in Columbus, OH December 9, 1929. Graduate of Sunbury High School 1947 and Grant Hospital School of Nursing 1950. After practicing in several fields she retired from the office of Dr. C. Scott Hirth in Grove City, OH in 1992. A member of Lane Avenue Baptist Church for 54 years where she was active in children's ministry, WMU and the choir. In recent years she served the Lord at First Baptist Church of Grove City. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 19 at the First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Road, Grove City. Dr. Jerry Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery. Contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Grove City or Ohio Health Hospice. Gene and Family,
I haven't stopped thinking about you and want you to know you are in my prayers. I hope you find peace in all of the wonderful memories. I think Dottie is enjoying coffee and catching up with Jick and Jenny, can you imagine the convo they are having? Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.
