I am saddened by the news of Uncle Fred's passing away. My heart goes out to those suffering most from his death. Having spent time with him and Marshall in my teen-age years, I cannot picture him as having lived to age 90, but then my Mom, Fred's sister Ruby, would have turned 94 years of age tomorrow. I have nothing but pleasant memories of Uncle Fred. My thoughts and prayers are with all his surviving family.

Fred, you were a kind ole soul. You were the mouthpiece for a little girl who lived in your home for an extended time. As I move through my world, when I smell a pipe being smoked, I always think of you, and what it was like being with you. Thank you for sharing the warmth of your fireplace with me while you read the paper. You had such kind, loving eyes that made speaking unnecessary. Thank you for your military service. Your neice, Ruby's, youngest daughter, Cathy.

Wonderful memories of a very kind and patient Uncle. We love you Uncle Fred. From your sister Jewell's children, Patty and Pam Highman.
