George L. Peaugh, Sr., 75, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013.
George was an active member of Glory Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to Gospel music and reading his Bible. George was an avid IU basketball fan. He was a retired coal miner and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William; sister-in-law, Cathy; and his parents Fred and Doris Peaugh.
George is survived by his wife, Cleta, of 52 years; his sons, George, Jr. (Kim) and Frederick and 7 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Hedges (Charles), Linda Bush (John); brothers, Fred, Jr (Carol), Gilbert, Randall (Debbie) and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00AM, Friday, February 15, 2013 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Delbert Bryant with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and Friday from 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Vanderburgh County Relay For Life and Glory Road Baptist Church.
