Jane Haerle Grider, born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edna Sheets Haerle and Edwin John Haerle passed away late Monday evening, November 2, 2015, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Haerle Wurster, brother Richard Edwin Haerle, and husband Gardiner Lee Grider. Jane leaves behind loving family members; daughter Cynthia Grider Kellermeyer, son Tony Hicklin Grider, baby sister (Martha) Lynn Haerle Stickle, grandson Matthew Paul Kellermeyer and loving friend and confidant, Mr. Lynn Montgomery. She also leaves behind many friends that were very special and important to her. A graduate of Louisiana College in 1975, with a B. S. Degree, Cum Laude, she moved to Houston, Texas with her family that same year. Jane was a Private Investigator and owned her own PI firm until 1996, when she retired to live on Lake Houston in Crosby, Texas, where she enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Jane was an avid reader and enjoyed sports, wagering on her favorite teams, playing bridge, horseback riding, helping others and doing charity work. She loved spending time with her family. She had a good sense of humor, did not take herself too seriously and loved every phase of life. A memorial service celebrating Jane's life will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Crosby Brethren Church, 5202 1st Street, Crosby, Texas 77532, (281) 328-2442. Jane spent time volunteering and delivering meals for the Crosby Brethren Church "Meals Ministry". Her family knows that it would make Jane very happy if donations were made to this organization in lieu of flowers.
