Patricia, beloved mother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio. Born March 15, 1930, Patricia lived a life filled with family, warmth, kindness and a steadfast love for her Lord.
Pat graduated West High School. She worked for The Galbreath Mortgage Company as a Secretary and Assistant in the Commercial Loan Department. Patricia was downsized in the 90's and she found herself with a new start at American Electric Power in Columbus Ohio. She retired from AEP and worked part time cleaning clubhouses to help fill her days.
Pat was creative and loved to read, work puzzles, shop at Krogers, cross stitch and loved to garden. She completed many cross-stitch projects over the years and gave them as gifts or kept her favorite. Her favorite hung in her home for over 25 years; it was a completed set of the Indian Chief of Five Nations and his Squaw. She loved all kinds of flowers and working in the earth. With her favorite color being purple, she would always have something growing in a garden, patio flower pot or fresh cut that was purple.
She attended Trinity Assembly of God in Grove City, Covenant Baptist Church, and Bethel Road Presbyterian Church in Columbus. She maintained a strong faith, studied her Bible daily, taught Sunday School and attended Bible Study classes after her retirement. She found her inspiration in life by reading the Bible every day and walking in her faith.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Gross) McClellan. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Sandina (Tom) Crnko, sister Pauline Dague, niece, nephew, and extended family and friends.
Though departed from this world, she will be remembered by family and friends as being a caring person, a remarkable independent woman with a little wit and humor on the side.
A memorial gathering will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday October 17th, 2025. There will be a brief prayer service at 6:00pm.
